Menedico
by Benedito Cesar Silva
MENEDICO nasce do desvio — do ruído convertido em imagem, da vida escutada como pintura.
MENEDICO is born of deviation — of noise transformed into image, of life listened to as painting.
Projeto autoral de arte contemporânea e pensamento estético. An original project in contemporary art and aesthetic thought.
Benedito Silva
Completed the classical triad of Management Sciences: Administration, Accounting and Economics.
Completed all undergraduate teaching degrees that structure basic education in Brazil, establishing a singular academic trajectory in the country.
Transforming art and creativity into lasting value.
Menedico
Born in Camanducaia, Minas Gerais. Visual Artist, Photographer, Author, Writer and Researcher.
I am the son of Geralda and Sebastião, who studied only up to the second year of primary school. I have six siblings. Despite significant financial hardship, my parents never spared any effort to ensure that I could study. I remember my father going into debt at the local stationery shop so that I would be the first in my class to have the books recommended by the teachers. It was there that I understood that knowledge is not a privilege — it is a responsibility. From that awareness, I chose an interdisciplinary vision as my life project. Each degree, as well as my Master’s and Doctorate, does not represent the accumulation of titles, but the fulfilment of a mission: to honour my parents and to affirm education as a path of transformation.
Journey
Art, Photography, and Literature in Continuous Dialogue.
My career is marked by innovation, a strong creative drive, and a dedication to turning cultural diversity into both aesthetic and enduring significance.

Menedico Manifesto
MENEDICO was born from a misunderstanding.
From a name heard differently.
From an ordinary moment touched by chance.
From what escapes control, yet endures.
If Benedito is the given name,
MENEDICO is the displaced one.
It is noise transformed into language.
It is error converted into presence.
It is the everyday transfigured into painting.
MENEDICO’s works do not shout.
They remain.
Cats are not merely animals — they are silent vigils.
Pine trees are not simply trees — they are time made vertical.
Houses are not structures — they are inhabitable memory.
Each canvas is unique.
Each gesture is irrepeatable.
Each work carries the mark of its moment.
MENEDICO does not reproduce.
MENEDICO does not replicate.
MENEDICO affirms.
The art here does not arise from excess.
It arises from listening.
And all listening begins with a deviation.
